PL Finals Update

With the current status of the COVID-19 virus in our state and on our planet, we are under an unprecedented pandemic alert on a global scale. This has placed a great deal of our lives into perspective and the health and wellness of our Aloha Region Volleyball community is of the utmost importance. We have been in discussions with our facility administration and Power League community to get a better handle upon our next course of action.

With that being said, we will NOT be holding our Aloha Region Power League Finals in April. We did not come to this decision lightly and understand of the importance of volleyball in the fabric of who we are in Hawaii. We are cancelling the last tournament(s) with the best intentions of all of our participating teams, coaches and supporters to put their health and wellness at the forefront. Although many of our participants are not in the "demographic" of danger, they may be carriers of this very virulent virus and pass it along to their ʻohana. This is something that no one would hope upon anyone and we would want to be sure to err on the side of caution and safety. We also wanted to get ahead of the situation to allow for all of the teams/clubs to adequately plan for their remaining USAV season.

We are going to be contacting all teams via email and we will be issuing a partial refund to your tournament fees. We understand that this does not replace the tournament, however, we are asking for your understanding during these quickly changing times. Please be on the lookout for that correspondence shortly. Mahalo nui for your continued support of the Aloha Region Power League, USA Volleyball and the Aloha Region.

We will be looking forward to seeing your continued success and development over the remaining season and will be looking forward your participation in the 2021 Aloha Region Power League in January 2021. Information will be posted in the Fall of 2020. Please be safe and best to all in our volleyball community.

Rosters must be printed from Webpoint, signed and submitted at the coaches meeting at 1/5/20. No handwritten rosters will be accepted. Rosters of all teams will be frozen after the first tournament starts as to keep the competitive balance of each team in the league. All players/coaches must be registered in USAV for the 19-20 season. Only registered players and adults on the roster will be allowed in the bench area of the tournament. Per USAV Guidelines, there must be at least one (1) IMPACT certified coach/adult on the bench at all times. Adults (Coaches, Chaperones, etc.) may be added to the roster at later dates. Please print out a new roster to reflect these changes and bring it to the next tournament date. Officials will be checking for compliance.

Uniforms
Uniforms are not required until the end of the month, however numbered jerseys are required. Also, if libero(s) are to be utilized, they will NEED to be in contrasting colors from the rest of the team. (Note: Uniform numbers may be written in on the roster to match the uniform of player until official uniforms are required. NO DUPLICATE NUMBERS ALLOWED)
